Not everyone gets an office with a door that can be shut, but what if you demand more privacy than a cubicle can afford?
Cozy Room (via TreeHugger) is a new concept from Japan that seals an office worker in tighter than a Cosmonaut in a Soyuz capsule. It features a chair that slides into a small, pod-like space with no possibility of contact with the outside world.
The occupant faces a monitor, and there are shelves and a drawer on the side for storing files and other items. The interior is lit with LEDs, and apparently it’s also a great place to drink bourbon and watch Star Wars.
Cozy Room could be the perfect solution for someone with an intense case of agoraphobia, but it could cut down on the size of a given work space. Whether all workers will be able to deal with this kind of environment is another question.
