Any hipster will tell you that vinyl is better than digital, and that’s not only true when it comes to music.
After all, it would be hard to make a lampshade out of ethereal electronic signals, but Vinylize’s new vinyl lamp looks pretty sweet. According to Inhabitat, the Budapest-based design studio uses actual vinyl records to make these novel pieces.
Not only will the lamp make you feel good because it’s partially made from a recycled material, it’s also versatile. The base can be clamped to almost any surface, while the lamp itself is made from durable and light aluminum. It’s even designed to use LED bulbs.
Vinylize hopes to put the lamp on sale once it passes consumer testing. What will the hipsters think of it?
