Lucid Design unveiled a full-size bicycle that fits into a small, circular backpack. Could it mean the death of fold-up scooters?
This impressive amount of portability is achieved by breaking the bike down into 21 parts, according to Inhabitat. That’s why it’s called the Kit Bike.
Everything twists and locks together for easy assembly. The frame is made of lightweight aluminum tubes that assemble using a key. The design itself is streamlined to limit the number of steps needed to get rolling.
While constantly disassembling and reassembling a bike can be a bit tedious, the Kit Bike could be a good alternative to smaller bicycles or scooters for riders who want to take a bike on vacation, or just live life at a slightly slower pace.
