If you’re not a morning person, you’re pretty much going against the grain of nature. Still, what better way to fight your body’s misbehavior than with a bedside cup of morning coffee?
Many coffeemakers have built-in clocks, but the Barisieur (via Designboom) takes things a bit further. Created by British designer Josh Renouf, it’s actually a clock radio with a built-in coffeemaker.
Looking like a prop from a mad scientist’s lab, the Barisieur it’s small enough to fit on a nightstand. Water is boiled through induction heating, using steel ball bearings in the bottom of the carafe. It’s pushed up a tube and into a coffee cone by steam pressure, and the device accepts Keurig packs.
There’s also a small drawer for extra coffee and sugar, and a milk container. How convenient.
