Were you disappointed when the ice hotel in the James Bond film Die Another Day was destroyed? Did you not see Die Another Day? Either way, you’ll want to check this out.
The Krystall is a floating, snowflake-shaped hotel that will open off the coast of Norway in 2016, CNN reports. It should at least be able to find on Google Maps.
The 86-room luxury hotel was designed by Dutch Docklands for the Norwegian city of Tromso. While the neighborhood probably isn’t very walkable, Krystall is expected offer great views of the Northern Lights.
It’s not all about media attention and cheap jokes about “frosty reception,” though. By locating the hotel away from land, developers won’t have to worry about upsetting the environment at a build site.
“If you take it away after 100 years or so, it will not leave any footprint,” architect Koen Olthius told CNN.
Ocean pollution could still be a concern, of course, but the main appeal of Krystall will likely be its floating location, which should be akin to staying in a chilly Atlantis.
