Get ready for a literal tree house.
Located in a residential area near the Bulgarian capital Sofia, 2 Oaks House is a modern residence that was designed around the trees on its site, according to Freshome. Architecture firm Ostrev Baylov Ignatov Architects (OBIA) hoped to blend interior and exterior spaces.
The design necessitates a unique U-shaped ground floor opening towards the yard. It includes the kitchen, living room, and dining room, while the master bedroom and an office space are upstairs.
In addition to showcasing nature, 2 Oaks House helps preserve it. The house was designed to be energy efficient, and features an automated climate control system that allows the owners to monitor energy consumption.
